Prime AAU Youth Basketball Covid
Prime AAU Basketball is our year-round program for players who want to make a year-round commitment to a team. Our Prime AAU Basketball teams will provide a very competitive environment while maintaining the intense practices which have made ASA Basketball such a success. In 2018-19 our teams participated in 18-22 tournaments throughout the year. In 2019-20 our teams competed at a similar pace until the Covid 19 pandemic altered the youth basketball landscape. At that point all Prime teams proceeded with two virtual workouts EVERY single day of the week. As with all of our teams, high level practice sessions will be our strength along with reinforcing great habits and competitiveness in our games.
Prime Basketball is one of the most competitive programs in the West Region. We take pride in competing with the best without sacrificing future development. Skill development, man-to-man defense, and developing all around players who can play any position on the floor continues to be our priority at Prime.

3 in-person workouts per week
Tournaments and games will be added when they are allowed by the state and county guidelines
Guidelines will be followed at all workouts. One player per basket, no shared equipment, no coaches rebounding, etc.

Additional virtual skill development sessions
“Prime Night“ in which players come in for “open play“ tournaments (for example 3v3 full court) against other players in our program in a competitive/fun environment (we had 8 Prime Nights in 2017-18)
Approximately 20 tournaments throughout the year
Film analysis - game film will be analyzed with the players
Shooting Evaluation - Players will have their shots evaluated on film multiple times throughout the year improving shooting technique
Character Cards, Tournament Review, Commitment Cards, and countless activities to improve character, accountability, and motivate our players to be the best they can be on and off the court
Prime Basketball provides Financial aid for registration fees to children, who without financial assistance would be unable to participate in the Prime program. There is limited funding available for financial aid, which can be applied for by filling out a form online. Please click below for more information.
