"Being raised in basketball within the ASA program was extremely beneficial for me in many ways. I was taught how to play the game the right way and learned skills that would enable me to play at the highest levels of high school basketball. I was fortunate enough to play at De La Salle High School and while there I competed and beat some of the nation’s top teams and players. I was also a part of a team that was ranked number 3 in the country and won the California Division 1 state championship. I was able to go on and continue my basketball career at the college level as well and simply put, none of my successes in basketball would have been possible without the foundation I had from the many things I learned while playing for ASA. I am extremely excited and honored to be able to bring this culture of basketball to my hometown of Brentwood as I feel that the youth of this community deserve a chance to be taught not only how to play basketball the right way, but also the many life lessons that ASA teaches. I hope to positively affect the lives of this community’s youth the same way my life was and continues to be affected by the special program that ASA is."
